MELBOURNE, FL \u2013 September 25, 2017 \u2013 On Saturday, October 21, 2017, the biggest stars of Brevard County will take the stage to perform and lip sync their favorite musical act from the \u201cAwesome 80\u2019s\u201d.<\/p>\n

This lip sync battle, held at the Melbourne Hilton Rialto, (200 Rialto Place), from 6:00 \u2013 10:00 p.m., will highlight our local star talent, while raising money for Brevard Family Partnership (BFP).<\/p>\n

As the feature fundraiser for BFP, the 3rd Annual Decades in Revue Lip Sync Battle will raise funds to help Brevard’s most vulnerable children. Performers will gather community \u201cvotes\u201d prior to their performance in the form of donations.\u00a0 Each $1 raised will equate to one vote for the performer of the donor\u2019s choice.\u00a0 At the end of the event, the performers will be judged by an expert panel and given scores based 50% on their performance and 50% on money raised.<\/p>\n

2017 Performers include Catherine Wright<\/strong>, Harris Corporation, Dr. Joni Oglesby<\/strong>, Florida Institute of Technology, Joshua Adams<\/strong>, Rock Paper Simple, and members representing Roy Allen Elementary School<\/strong>, Junior League of South Brevard<\/strong>, Community Foundation for Brevard, <\/strong>and the Brevard County School Board,<\/strong> including Superintendent Dr. Desmond Blackburn.<\/p>\n

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite fashion or icon from the 1980\u2019s for a chance to win \u201cbest dressed\u201d in the look-a-like contest.\u00a0 Tickets are $125 each and include dinner, entertainment, and much more. Tables of 8 are available for purchase at the discounted rate of $800. Seats are limited and going quickly.<\/p>\n

Established in 2003 as a non-profit organization in response to the Legislative mandate to privatize foster care and related services in Florida (Section 409.986, Florida Statutes), Brevard Family Partnership is Brevard County\u2019s lead child welfare agency.
