Dr. Nellius was recognized for her talent in transitioning Brevard County&#8217;s child welfare system of care\u00a0which\u00a0has helped to dramatically improve the safety of at-risk children. The sold-out, \u201cred carpet\u201d themed event celebrated the dedication and commitment of\u00a0twenty-six community honorees while helping to raise over $40,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lucida Sans Unicode;\">The Children\u2019s Hero award recipients, in three categories, included: (talent) Dr. Patricia Nellius, CEO, Brevard Family Partnership; (time) Pam Rogan, founder of Harmony Farms \u2013 Horses for the Handicapped; and (treasure) Bryan and Judy Roub, for their charitable giving.\u00a0 Each of the recipients was chosen by a panel of community and business leaders from among several nominees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lucida Sans Unicode;\">The Brevard Walk of Fame honorees, who were introduced via video montage and appeared on stage in apparel provided by Isabella\u2019s and The Men\u2019s Wearhouse, included:\u00a0<strong>Kimberly Agee<\/strong>, owner, Agee Consulting; Florida State Senator,\u00a0<strong>Thad Altman<\/strong>\u00a0(R-Melbourne);\u00a0<strong>Brian Binggeli<\/strong>, superintendent, Brevard County Schools;\u00a0<strong>Geoff Bodine<\/strong>, NASCAR champion; District 4 Brevard County Commissioner,\u00a0<strong>Mary Bolin<\/strong>;\u00a0<strong>Ginger Burton<\/strong>, women\u2019s health nurse practitioner, MIMA; Florida State Representative,\u00a0<strong>Steve Crisafulli<\/strong>\u00a0(R-Merritt Island);\u00a0<strong>Rev.
