They are removed from their homes through no fault of their own, but because they have been abused and neglected.<\/p>\n<p>The plea for foster families has never been greater to help so many children in need! For many foster children and teens, placement in the right home the first time predicts their success in foster care. At Brevard Family Partnership, Brevard\u2019s lead child welfare agency, taking the time to find a good match between a child and a family and securing a loving home is a top priority.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe need for families willing and able to provide safe, nurturing homes for children and teens has never been more acute, said Dr. Patricia Nellius, CEO of Brevard Family Partnership. \u201cFoster families are some of the most extraordinary people in the community\u2014your friends and neighbors who open their hearts and homes to the many children every year who suffer abuse or neglect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing a foster parent is a very rewarding experience and our foster families provide loving, homes and contribute to a child\u2019s health and well-being each day with guidance and support,\u201d explains Dr. Nellius.<\/p>\n<p>There are few restrictions to becoming a foster parent; almost anyone who has the capacity to care for a child or young adults can become one.
