\"Kevin_Kilday_and_Mary_Kilday_\"<\/a>Kevin and Mary Ellen Kilday have been licensed foster parents in Brevard County for the past 13 years. They became interested in foster care after taking 5 children into their home as part of a family arrangement. They felt that pursuing foster care was a way to ensure children\u2019s medical needs and service needs were being met.<\/p>\n

They have found foster care to be a very rewarding experience for their family and share that \u201cEach child is special.\u00a0 We love the children in our home and enjoy everyday life with them.\u201d\u00a0 Many would find foster care as a challenge but the Kilday\u2019s are able to focus on the strengths is every child and state they don\u2019t view it as a challenge.<\/p>\n

They have many fond experiences of all the children they have served.\u00a0 One of their fondest memories is of a five year old that loved Halloween and was so excited to pick out a pumpkin to carve.\u00a0 The child insisted on picking out the largest pumpkin he could find at the pumpkin patch and carrying it himself. He quickly realized that he could not carry it himself but had a great time carving it with the family.<\/p>\n
