Brevard Family Partnership (BFP) announced today that Phil Scarpelli has been selected as Brevard Family Partnership\u2019s new chief executive officer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to have been elected as Brevard Family Partnership\u2019s next CEO. It is a privilege to be part of an organization that delivers high quality services and innovative solutions to provide care and support for the children in Brevard who suffer abuse and neglect,\u201d said Scarpelli. \u201cWe are an organization led by a purpose \u2013 to protect children, strengthen families, and change lives. I will do my best to serve the Family of Agencies by helping enable our leaders and people to fulfill their passion to make a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n

Previously the Director of Professional Development, Talent Management and Strategic Planning at Florida’s Department of Children and Families (DCF), Mr. Scarpelli brings more than 30 years of experience in behavioral healthcare and child welfare in both clinical and administrative capacities. He has a proven record of administrative oversight, analysis and consultation on best practices, and the provision of foster care and related services.<\/p>\n

Established in 2004 by a Legislative mandate to privatize foster care and related services in Florida (Section 409.1617, Florida Statutes)<\/a>, Brevard Family Partnership is Brevard County\u2019s lead child welfare agency.\u00a0 Working in partnership with over 70 community organizations, its mission is to protect children, strengthen families and change lives through the prevention of child abuse and the operation and management of a comprehensive, integrated, community-based system of care for abused, abandoned and neglected children, and their families.<\/p>\n

Since it began operations in 2005, Brevard Family Partnership has consistently ranked among the top performing CBCs in the state of Florida, ranking among the top three agencies over the course of the past five years in visits to children and families, timely reunification, and exceeding the federal measures for placement stability. Since the advent of Brevard Family Partnership, and the implementation of family-centered case practice, using the wraparound process, Brevard County\u2019s child safety has increased by nearly 50%.<\/p>\n

BFP has touched over 35,000 children\u2019s lives and operates a full continuum of nationally recognized, exemplary child welfare services with a Family of Agencies that includes the nationally recognized Evidence Based Practice program Brevard C.A.R.E.S., the National Center for Innovation and Excellence, and our newest enterprise, Family Allies, Inc.<\/p>\n
