Three of Brevard\u2019s leading child-serving organizations hosted a Candidate Forum on Friday, September 14, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the Brevard Zoo.\u00a0 Candidates for the U.S. House and Senate, Florida Legislature, Brevard County\u2019s Sheriff, and State Attorney attended and shared their perspectives on child welfare in Brevard.<\/p>\n

Brevard Family Partnership, Brevard\u2019s lead child welfare agency, along with partners Children\u2019s Home Society Florida \u2013 Brevard Division and Devereux\u00a0hosted the event. Breakfast was sponsored by Craig Technologies. Greg Pallone from News Channel 13 moderated the event. The goal\u00a0was to\u00a0give those who serve or have an interest in the welfare and safety of children to hear directly from the candidates their platforms and how they are aligned with supporting the successful, locally operated, Community Based Care model and the mission of the organizations\u2019 roles of protecting children and strengthening families.<\/p>\n
